This delightful farmhouse is just over an hour from TGV stations and airports at La Rochelle and Poitiers and about an hour and a quarter from Nantes. And about 3H drive from the St Malo ferry port (motorway for all but 20 minutes of you wish). So, off the ferry and here for lunch, easy.

The property is 1.5km outside the lively village of St. Pierre du Chemin, with superette, bakery, restaurant, bar, bank doctor, pharmacy, garage etc., and 7 kilometers from La Chataigneraie with large Super U, Intermarché and Lidl, plus all facilities, including a small Saturday foor market and monthly general market.The Renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte is roughly 20 mins distant and the coast just about an hour.

The house, built in natural local stone is located in a peaceful rural setting with views over unspoilt valleys, up a short drive from the tarmacked lane, with instant access to country lanes and short and long walks. This is ideal either for the family or serious walkers and a dogs paradise.  

Most windows in the property are double glazed and there is a powerful oil-fired central heating system, professionally installed with radiators in every room, specifically designed to heat that volume, with clock and thermostatic controls.
